PRESENTING SPONSOR

The red rocker ring around the Grand Prix logo symbolizes the close partnership between the two organizations and is proof of SHOP 'n SAVE's commitment to helping others.

In 2010 SHOP 'n SAVE will be the Presenting Sponsor of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix for the 10th year, helping us raise awareness and funds for the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley School.

Rich Haeflein, Advertising Account Manager for SHOP 'n SAVE Operations stated “Our involvement with the Grand Prix and their charities is true to our belief that the greatest reward comes from helping others.”

SHOP 'n SAVE operates over 70 independent stores throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. These retailers offer customers quality and value on national brand and private label products. SHOP 'n SAVE has delis, bakeries, seafood, and on-site pharmacies to enhance the chain's convenience for shoppers.

In addition to promoting the Grand Prix at their stores, SHOP 'n SAVE also hosts the Hospitality Tent at Schenley Park. It's hard to miss at the top of the hill overlooking the race course. Stop by, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the races!

This was our ninth year of participation in this great community event,” said Rich Haeflein, SHOP ‘n SAVE Senior Advertising Manager. “The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is an opportunity for our retailers to give back to their local communities.  It’s been a pleasure to be involved with an organization made up of over 1,200 volunteers—all focused on working toward the common goal of benefiting charities.  Our involvement is true to SHOP ‘n SAVE’s belief that the greatest rewards come from reaching out and helping others. We are looking forward to our 10th anniverary with the PVGP in 2010.”

This past summer Shop 'n Save raised $11,871 through the sale of license plates. Participating stores sold the cardboard plates at the checkout lines and displayed them on the walls of the store. With the $3,736 raised by the same program in 2008 this equals a whopping $25,000 donation from license plates!
