VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PARTY

The 2010 volunteer party is being moved to the VSCCA tent at the entrance to the pit/paddock

 

Volunteers are the heart of our organization and the drivers are the heart of our races.  Our charities thank both groups from the bottom of their hearts.

 

This party is complete with a catered dinner, desert, soft drinks and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer. Come mix and mingle with volunteers from all areas of the Grand Prix.  Network with people in the racing and business community, and enjoy yourself in the evening breeze in Schenley Park! The party starts right after all race cars are off the track which should happen at approximately 6:30 PM so the dresscode is "come as you are".

 

{Dirty Boots} Dirty Boots, fronted by Gretchen Emery, will provide our evening's live entertainment. They create "a musical collage of Blues, Rock, and Soul while blending Memphis power blues with passion and vitality. Whether you get up and dance or find yourself lost in a sultry oasis, Dirty Boots is sure to leave you wanting more."

 

Thanks also to PJ's Catering for the meal and Crown Royal and Pabst Blue Ribbon for supplying our complimentary adult beverages.

PVGP workers will need to show their volunteer wristband to enter the party for free,  drivers will be admitted with their hotpass wristbands. 

 

 

 

Directions from clubhouse

1) Head out the Clubhouse entrance, onto Forbes Avenue toward Squirrel Hill.

2) Turn Right onto Wightman, which is the first stoplight you will reach.

3) Follow Wightman to Phillips.  Turn Right.

4) Phillips will end at Pocusset.  Turn Right onto Pocusset

5) Pocussett will wind through Squirrel Hill, and through the park.  The road does get narrow before coming out by the Greenfield Bridge.

6) At the Greenfield Bridge, keep to the right.  The road will turn into Greenfield Road at this point.

7) Follow Greenfield Road until you see a security gate.  To your left is Overlook Drive.  Turn onto Overlook, and park.

8) Walk down to the security gate, and show your wristband to get into the party!
